With its striking lime green foliage, chocolate-brown starburst patterns, and burgundy leaf edges, the Begonia Mountain is a unique statement plant that adds texture and character to any indoor collection. Its heart-shaped leaves feature fine hairs across the surface and stems, creating a soft, velvety appearance that makes this begonia especially eye-catching.
Growing into a compact form, Begonia Mountain is perfect for desks, shelves, plant stands, or decorative pots where its detailed foliage can be admired up close. With the right care and bright indirect light, this distinctive variety brings a beautiful balance of colour, texture, and elegance to indoor spaces.
Care Guide:
- Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can damage the delicate foliage.
- Water: Keep soil consistently slightly moist but never soggy. Water from the bottom only and avoid getting water on the leaves or stems. Allow the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings.
- Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix with good airflow to prevent excess moisture around the roots.
- Temperature: Prefers stable indoor conditions with good air circulation. Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
- Fertiliser: Feed with a weak balanced fertiliser every 4 weeks during spring and summer. Reduce feeding during cooler months when growth slows.
Compact, textured, and full of personality, Begonia Mountain is a beautiful choice for plant lovers looking to add a rare and sophisticated foliage feature to their indoor space.
