This Plant Baby is one of a kind! Like all ferns, moisture and humidity are important to keep the Staghorn happy! You want to mimic its natural habitat, which is generally on the bark of a tree, meaning bright, diffused light is key. If you are up to it, mount her onto a piece of timber and put her up in your home as an interesting feature!
Staghorns prefer consistent bright light but can tolerate higher light levels if given enough water, warmth and humidity.Careful of direct sunlight as it will burn the sensitive fronds.
Your new Plant Baby needs watering often - once a week in the warmer months and once every 2-3 weeks in the cooler months. Even a misting will be appreciated. Give a good shower but dont allow the roots to sit in water. If her fronds began to brown around the base, you are probably over watering, while if the tips turn brown, you are most likely over watering.
Fertilise with a liquid formula once a month in Spring and Summer and then every other month in autumn and winter.
